American writer Rasma Haidri grew up in Tennessee and makes her home on the arctic seacoast of Norway where she teaches British and American studies. Her work has been published in many anthologies in the USA as well as in the UK, Canada, India, Hong Kong, Norway, Israel and the UAE. Literary journals featuring her poems and essays include Sycamore Review, Nimrod, Prairie Schooner, Fourth Genre, Runes and I-70 Review. 

Her poems were commissioned for Only the Sea Keeps (Bayeux Arts), a print anthology commemorating victims of the 2004 tsunami and Borderland, an art exhibit for the blind featuring photography by Thomas Ferrella and ekphrastic poetry written in braille. Distinctions for her writing include the Southern Women Writers Association Emerging Writer Award in Creative Non-fiction, the Wisconsin Academy of Arts, Letters & Science Poetry Award, and a nomination for Best of the Net Award 2010.
